You would not believe the stuff I bought at just one yardsale. I spent a total of $27.00 for all of this. I was so excited when I got home and went through it again. I looked at everything and found things that were worth a lot more than I thought. This group was 1 of 6 that I had that morning. By far this was the best group of things. One box was full of different tins for $1.00 for the whole box and the other big box was full of different type of decorative interior pots. That box was also $1.00. What a bargain.
My youngest daughter made this. It was one of the cutest wreaths I have seen for a sewing room. She had made it for her boyfriends mom. His mom has a sewing room and collects anything that has to do with sewing. She was excited to get it because that was her first sewing wreath to add to her room.
I wasn't sure if something needed to be added to this one. I kinda like it because it's so simple. The skeleton was a little creepy but I guess that was the point of it. I love the spider, it looks so real in person. Halloween is like my second favorite holiday to decorate for.
This witches broom sold not too long after I placed it in my booth. I also made a scarecrow broom that sold. Can't wait to make more of these. I went to a yardsale a couple a days ago and they had several brooms for 25cents. I bought them all.
Here is another wreath I made recently. A wreath with frame normally run about $10.00 for one like this. I have some request on this type. It looks really good even with different colored frames.
Homemade wreath
I made this wreath. I love making wreaths and selling them. This type of wreath is $20.00. I can't wait to start making Christmas wreaths. I am going to attempt an all Christmas ball wreath. Really not a sure how thats going to turn out. Guess you will have to wait and see.
I made this little dishwasher magnet for my daughter. It was not very easy to make but turned out really cute. It looks cute in her kitchen. I think I will make somemore using different colors.
My booth about three weeks later. I am finally getting alot of stuff. I have sold alot of this and have replaced it with new items. It is starting to become my hobby and I am really enjoying it.
The group of things I only spent $5.00. My favorite find of the day was this clock. It is so heavy and yes it does work. Guess how much I paid.....only $1.00. I love to go to yardsales and can't wait for the weekends.

Tray makeover
This tray was in a box of items I bought at a yardsale. The tray looked kinda old and needed refreshing. Just used a little paint and scrapbook paper and now it has a totally new look.
What to use this for?
This is a craigslist find for $15.00. So excited to decorate and fill it with scrapbook paper and craft magazines. Later I will post new look.
My girls
I love my girls. I can't believe that the baby has graduated. I have to get a life now, get ready cricut and embroidery machine here I come.
A makeover was due. Not quite finished I need to add a few things. Love to find things at yardsales.
I bought this at a yardsale along with a bag of ribbon and spools of lace. Thought that it could use some a makeover. Let's see what we can do.

My daughter is on the school dance team and had a dance show this past weekend. It was the best show yet but she is a senior and must go on. She loves to dance and has an amazing voice and can't wait for college.
Here are some yardsale items I bought this week. The frame was a quarter and the picture was fifty cents. I can't wait to begin working on them and will post as soon as they are finished.
Yardsale items I bought this weekend. I paid fifty cents for mirror and also for the big picture and I paid twenty five cents for the green frame. I will post the final results when I am finished working on them.
Yardsale bargain of the weekend! I got this for only $1.00. I was so excited because I have been wanting one but didn't want to pay much for it and I'm all about bargains.

A spice rack given to me. Thought it would be a great storage unit for colored buttons for my craft room. I am working on this project and will post the final project in a few days.
My very first ripe strawberry. How sweet it is. The best things to go with strawberries is trefoil cookies.
One of our gardens before all the rains. In this garden we have strawberries, potatoes, onions, broccoli and cauliflower. Always plant a row of mounds just in case there are numerous days of rain. Hopefully we will not have to replant.

Life In The Classroom
Wake up, get ready, arrive at school to do what, listen to the screaming and yelling all day long. I get hit, pinched, yelled at and sometime cursed at in whatever tone and language they choose to use. I sometimes think why? Is someone trying to teach me patience, is this a sign? What did I do? It seems like each year gets worse and the kids get louder and more set in their ways. Please parents work with us, it only makes it harder as they get older if we don't get a grip on it now. I am very blessed to have the children I have of my own. I realize that you are given what you can handle and sometimes that is hard enough but I do know that it takes very special people to handle the kids we take care of. We truly love them but sometimes feel totally out of control some days. I not sure what I would do if I had been in the same situation as some of these families but, I do know one thing from working with them for so many years, I would teach them from a very young age so that it would be easier in the future.

Ellie is a pomapoo and is my oldest daughters dog. She is the cutest dog ever but don't let looks fool you because she doesn't like to listen.
Tax Dollars at Work
Today I saw our tax dollars at work. Every worker was standing around the park talking and getting paid for it. The most disturbing thing was while our class was playing on equipment a lady walks over and starts mowing the grass which is on the playground. Why wasn't it mowed before we got there, oh I forgot they were talking. Where is the safety for our children. I also, don't appreciate paying high taxes and knowing what it is paying for.

The Beginning
This is my first attempt to start a blog. I am so excited and inspired by others that share their talents and express ideas on different projects. I love to craft and find bargains at thrift stores and yardsales. This has become my hobby. I am just starting to get my craft room organized and searching for storage ideas. I hope to start displaying my crafts in the next week.
